Hi this is Steve lineman my officer located in Jackson Florida and I want to show you the Florida child support calculator you'll see there are four columns column number one provides general information and explanation of how the numbers are calculated column number two or a provides information concerning the father and column three or B provides information concerning the mother and the final column is a total column I built the calculator to auto calculate so although an explanation is given please be aware that many of the numbers are being auto calculated, so let's do an example lets start off by saying that the father, and I'm going to call them dad makes 3000 per month mother who I'm going to call mom makes 2000 a months for a total 5000 then we need to select how many children for this example well say 2 in the calculators automatically inserting the figure which provided for in the guidelines and if you want to see how it actually works you can click on the guideline tab and scroll down and see where I calculate the number from let me go back to the calculator and show you the next input and that would be daycare how much is total I'm calling a daycare but its classified correctly as monthly childcare cost for the child or children were going to say 400 the next tab is what is the total monthly child or children's health insurance cost lets say its 200 and then what is the total monthly non-covered medical dental and prescription medication cost were going to call it a hundred and then in this next set of input we actually indicate which parent is paying the amounts provided in these sections so were going to say mom is pen name of the childcare cost were going to say dad is paying all the health insurance cost and were going to say each parent is paying 50 of the non-covered you'll see in item number nine the minimum child support obligation for each parent is 1100 sixty cents for dad and four hundred fifty dollars and forty cents per mom I should say for Mom sorry about that and here's what happens if one parent has less than 20 percent of overnights with the children then that parent is going to pay the other parent the number in this column so for this example lets say its dad who has less than 20 percent the overnights he would pay mom 1100 and 60 cents under the new guidelines there's a gross up method which now occurs when both parents have more than 20 percent of time with the children so as you can see here that's 73 overnights now the way the calculator works is it automatically provides for the gross up formula and here are the figures and the only thing left to be done in the situation where each parent is more than 20 percent of overnights per years to indicate the number of overnights so in this example were going to say dad has 120 and mom has 245 very important that these two normal numbers equal 365, and it will take just down to the actual child support to be paid, and you see here that dad would pay eight hundred and...
